Hi everyone! Sorry for the lack of update, but I’m back with more restaurant reviews. This time is from the renowned Lady M in no other than the lovely NYC. People call Lady M to be the it place for cakes and dessert. Indeed, their cakes are deliciously tempting, once you have your first bite, you’ll always want more!

My personal favorite is their various mille feuillee or layered crepe cake. They have it in different flavors, the ones I know are their original flavor, green tea, and strawberry. I’d say that green tea is my favorite, but I also love their original crepe cake! On top of that I find their eclair to be very mouth-watering, crispy chocolate covering a soft pastry filled with creamy filling that is just right – not too sweet and not too plain.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy these pictures of yummy dessert and of course,

Merry Christmas!

tis the season to be jolly and…. to eat good food.

Sashimi in Peanut Sauce

Sushi of Gari has never failed to surprise me with their amazingly scrumptious sushis. This time I went to the original Gari at the Upper East with all my friends while they were visiting New York for Thanksgiving. Everyone had a good time and enjoyed their sushi very very much! The bar was set pretty high when my friends went to Gari cause I’ve been bragging about how good Gari is. After the two hour dinner, it definitely exceeded their expectations. I know that it could be pricey to have Omakase everytime you go to Gari.. but trust me, it’s totally worth it. I’ve never liked raw fish as much as I like them in Gari; unlike a few other sushi vendor, the raw fish that they use in their sushi is really fresh, there’s not much sauces or dipping condiments that you use with the sushi. In fact, there was none, but that is when the magic happens as you can truly savor the freshness and the succulence of the fish. So if you’re in New York and if you have the $$$$$$$$, Sushi of Gari is definitely that one stop that you should not miss! Meanwhile, you can check out these pictures that I took in Gari, enjoy!

What can I say, I’ve been promoting this sushi place to all my friends ever since my sushi experience there. It was a total foodgasm, this place will satisfy your sushiporn cravings. I was recommended to this place by a friend, although I didn’t get to try the one in Upper East Side (the main restaurant), I didn’t mind because I was totally satisfied by the food here. I had “Omakase” which is like a chef-tasting menu, where you don’t know what you’re going to have as the chef will prepare their best sushis for you. I have no idea what the chef gave me for appetizer but it was really good, I’m sorry that I can’t really describe it in words – what I’m saying here is, when you have the chance (and the money), you should definitely try out this restaurant. There is something about whatever the chef put on top of the sushi rice that is extremely delicious, I don’t know if it’s the sauce, the fresh fish, or the rice itself – or probably all of them. I’ve never like sashimi sushi as much as I did in Sushi of Gari, so that says something, right?
